The Montessori method, developed in 1907 by Dr. Maria Montessori, is the world’s most recognized and respected alternative education method. It is a developmentally-based approach that emphasizes individualized learning within a prepared environment that includes a supportive community. The Montessori early childhood program, also known as casa, is based on some key features.

Amanah Academy Curriculum
In our early childhood program we have the following curriculum areas. For ease of presentation, they are listed here as separate, but in reality each one overlaps with the others in at least two ways. Each curriculum area serves as either a direct or an indirect preparation for another area (e.g. Arabic for reading and understanding the Quran). Also, each curriculum area provides unique material for understanding the big picture or the Islamic worldview, which is taught both explicitly and implicitly throughout the program.
